Mario had been looking at multiple houses downtown and in the Southside area. The house we ended up closing on had multiple offers, and we were able to win the bidding war—not only with the price but also with the closing date and our inspection period. Congratulations on your new home, Mario!

Tammy Bishop wanted to upsize and found the perfect home for her family. However, she had a house to sell that was not yet listed. We were able to secure a contract for the new home but really had to hustle to get her current home listed and under contract. Within 2 weeks, we had her home listed and under contract. That was hurdle one! We got past inspection and then, when the appraisal came, both properties came in under. After some hard negotiation, we were able to come to an agreement for both homes and closed back-to-back! Congratulations Bishop Family!

The South’s had their Meadowbrook home listed with another agency for a while without any luck selling it.  When they switched to our team, we had them paint a couple of rooms, move some furniture around, and marketed it properly.  Within two weeks, we had it under contract for full list price!  Congrats to the South family!

We listed the Winford’s house in Stonecreek after they had a bad experience trying to do for sale by owner. We were able to help relieve that burden from them, so they could focus on their family and their regular day-to-day schedule. We were able to bring them multiple offers after just 24 hours on the market, choose the best option for them, and handle the transaction from the beginning, through the closing table. They netted more than when trying to sell it themselves.

We had the honor of helping Mr. Rangoonwala purchase a home in Deer Valley. We first spoke on May 13th. Mr. Rangoonwala and I began our search, looking at foreclosed homes and we even researched courthouse auctions. Over about a six-week period, we refined our search to conventional resale properties, and it wasn’t long before we found one in Deer Valley that fit his needs. After negotiating the price down by $30,000, we had a contract. The buyer stood firm with his negotiating and it paid off—big time. With a little repair work on the home, this one is a real steal, and we could not be happier to have been a part of the process!

JT and Katie Thornbury had been contemplating renovating their Homewood home or moving up to their next home. After a discussion with Gusty, they charted out their ideal home and, if it popped up, they would consider purchasing. A few weeks later, a cute Spanish Villa became available on the market in the Hollywood neighborhood of Homewood. The Thornbury’s were excited and jumped at the chance to see the property on the first day on the market. The problem was, so did 15 other people, and by the time we saw the home, the seller had already received 5 offers. The Thornbury’s loved the home, so they leaned on Gusty to navigate this tricky negotiation. Gusty recommended a strategy using an escalation clause, where you offer a certain amount of money but make note that you are willing to pay a set amount over the highest competitive offer, up to a certain amount. The plan worked! The Thornbury’s were able to buy their dream home and beat 5 other offers doing so.

Pamela and Brian had heard great things about The Gusty Gulas Group from a friend who had worked with us. The Hatchers are diehard Auburn fans, so when a dream job was offered to Pamela at the University of Auburn, they were on a mission. Pamela called one of our agents, Scott Alsabrook, on a Sunday morning and told him they had to sell and had to sell quickly. He met with her that week, and they came up with a game plan for success that included holding an Open House the first weekend the property was on the market. The buyer on the Hatcher’s home attended the open house and then contacted her agent upon leaving. The Hatchers had a contract on their home within the first 5 days on the market and for full list price. A smooth contract to close had them on the road to Auburn with big smiles on their faces. Success!

Tripp and Rosemary had outgrown their first home and needed more space. Having worked with Gusty to find their first home, and having had a great experience, they reached out to him again to find their next home. After a few months of looking and a failed multiple offer situation, they were determined to find the right home. One house kept catching their eye and, after viewing the home, it was “the one.” Gusty was in charge of negotiating and helped negotiate $25K+ off of the home. A smooth process from beginning to end and a happy client. Thank you, Alexander family!
